IMS was established in 1972 under the stewardship of the late Prof. A Dasgupta, doyen of Management Education in India with the aim of providing Quality Management Education that should be at par with the global standards. IMS today enjoys unique reputation of being the pioneer in imparting management education in India and is ranked among the best management institutes in the country.
