This is Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skill Council (AASSC)-approved course and it provides comprehensive, industry-oriented knowledge of the aviation, travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The curriculum covers seven key subjects: Ticketing, Airport Handling, Communication and Personality Development, French, Hospitality, Tourism, and the Amadeus Reservation System, offering students a well-rounded understanding of the industry and its diverse career opportunities.
The programme provides in-depth learning in airfares calculations, ticketing procedures, airport operations, passenger handling, travel documentation, hotel reservations, and computerised reservation systems. The tourism component introduces students to the structure and functioning of the travel and tourism industry, travel geography, travel planning, and essential travel formalities related to air, rail, and land transport, hotels, and cruises. Students also gain knowledge of domestic and international destinations, itinerary planning, tour package development, cultural tourism, and the role of sustainable development goals in promoting responsible and sustainable tourism practices.
French language learning further enhances the programme by introducing students to essential vocabulary, expressions, and conversational skills relevant to the travel trade. This enables them to communicate more effectively with French-speaking travellers and understand the language's practical applications in tourism, hospitality, and customer service.
With a strong emphasis on practical knowledge, communication, personality development, hospitality ,customer service, and professional etiquette, the course prepares students to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
