Work & Teaching Experience

As a teacher I strive to engage, challenge, and inspire growth in my students. It is my belief that every student has unique set of skills which makes them capable to reach their fullest potential. My vision is to instil my students with the passion for becoming collaborators in the exploration of theory, research, and practice in their chosen fields. To engage my students, I begin by crafting stories that draw them into the thick of the learning experience. Behind every statistical technique, and theoretical argument is a vivid anecdote, and I believe that it is my job, in part, to share these tales with my students. I prefer to teach through demonstrations: by conducting mini-experiments and analysing data in the classroom, by participating in small group debates and role-plays, by observing and chronicling behaviours’ from the real world, and by discussing case studies.

It is with great excitement that I look ahead to being a professor, given the experiences that I have had with teaching over the past Ten years. I have been fortunate enough to be associated with number of Institutes such as Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management & Research, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, and Institute of management Studies YMCA, Tecnia Institute of Advanced Studies, NBA Group of Institutions, Jagannath Institute of Management Studies, delivering lectures on Organizational Behaviour, Organizational Theory & Development, Human Resource Management and its core aspects like Performance Management, Training & Development, and Communication & Personality Development. I have also had the opportunity to be a campus to corporate trainer in Training & Placement Cell of BVCOE, Delhi. Each course presented a wonderful opportunity to learn and to grow as a teacher. As an adjunct to my commitment to teaching, my colleagues and I are working on writing various research papers in the domain of Entrepreneurial survivability and sustainable development.

Over the time that I worked with numerous undergraduate and graduate students as a research mentor and closely advised students on their research projects. At times I have found myself in the position of a guiding my students as a counsellor to handle the challenges of life. As a trained counsellor/ therapist I am able to help them resolve pressing issues on well-being of the students.

I hold myself to the same standards that I hold my students. That is, I strive to become a skilled thinker and learner, and I believe that this process is life-long.
